GPHG 2024 - FGP Swiss & Alps reaffirms its role as main sponsor

FGP Swiss & Alps

As a proud sponsor of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) for the past 13 years, we are honored to support this prestigious event, which has become a cornerstone of excellence in the watchmaking world. This partnership, originally initiated by Mr. Carlo Lamprecht, founder of the GPHG and a former member of our board of directors, underscores the connection between the high technical mastery of watchmaking and the innovation driving our real estate projects. Moreover, it offers a remarkable platform to highlight the Lake Geneva region, a cradle of expertise and tradition in this exceptional industry.

This year’s ceremony, held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, took place at the Théâtre du Léman in Geneva. The event was brilliantly hosted by the acclaimed Carole Bouquet, who took over from last year’s presenter, Édouard Baer. With her poise and elegance, she rose to the challenge of guiding an audience of industry leaders and enthusiasts through an evening of celebration and recognition. Notably, this marked the final year the ceremony would be hosted at this iconic venue, as the GPHG moves to the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices (BFM) next year, signaling an exciting new chapter for this illustrious competition.

This year’s edition saw an impressive selection of 92 watches competing across 13 diverse categories, each vying for top honors in craftsmanship, innovation, and artistry. The most coveted prize, the prestigious “Aiguille d’Or,” was awarded to IWC, whose winning timepiece captivated the jury and audience alike with its exceptional design and technical mastery.

Through our enduring support of the GPHG, we are delighted to contribute to an event that not only celebrates the brilliance of watchmaking but also serves as a vibrant showcase of the creative and technical talents that define our region. We look forward to many more years of partnership and to witnessing the continued evolution of this extraordinary celebration of horological art and ingenuity.
